VAG MQB 3Q Steering Lock Emulator
This emulator is a direct replacement for the VAG MQB 3Q steering lock, with part number 3Q0905861B. It offers a dependable solution for steering lock issues on a wide range of vehicles.
Important Note
In certain instances, a few steering locks may not allow direct data extraction with tools like VVDI Prog. In these situations, the immo data and synchronization files (typically used for key programming) must be supplied. These files will be used to write the necessary data onto the emulator, enabling a proper service and fix.
Installation Instructions
Follow these steps for a seamless installation:
-
Remove the ELV: Carefully detach the electronic steering lock (ELV) unit from the car.
-
Read Data: Use a compatible device, such as the VVDI PROG, to read and extract the steering lock's data.
-
Data Processing: Open the extracted file in a computer application that will be supplied to you (software only). Save the modified file and write it to the emulator's Eeprom (24LC256).
-
Install Emulator: Connect the emulator to the vehicle. The red and green lights will flash simultaneously for about 15 seconds. The system is ready to start the car once a steady red light appears.

-
