Seat the original board
Open the customer's remote, lift the intact PCB into the matching MCKB or SKE adapter and close the clamp. No tools, no heat.
Press Read
The green LED confirms contact and the NCF29XX data is captured into the NXP Killer. The customer's board is now free to go back into its shell.
Seat the virgin board
Drop the new remote's board into the same adapter and close the clamp.
Press Write
The blue LED confirms the write. Reassemble, test on the vehicle, hand over the spare. Job closed.

The master reference: which vehicles can be cloned at all
This grid is not a stock list. It answers the question you actually need answered before you quote a job: does this vehicle's encryption allow direct NCF29XX head-to-head cloning in the first place? Where a make is marked as supported, the key data can be read and written on the bench. Where it is blocked, no bench cloner on the market gets past it - not this one, not the KD-X4, not the KYDZ Cube 2.

When the key is not clonable, stop fighting the chip
Encrypted keys - Mercedes FBS4 and some of the newer electric platforms - will not give up their data to any bench cloner. The professional move is to stop attacking the encryption and change the approach entirely: keep the customer's original board alive and let a relay device carry the signal.

Questions from the bench
Do I really never have to desolder anything?
Correct. The MCKB and SKE adapters clamp onto the intact board and make contact through spring-loaded pins. The NCF29XX chip stays exactly where the factory put it.
Do I need a KEYDIY KD-X4 or a KYDZ Cube 2?
No. The NXP Killer is a fully independent bench tool. Those master devices do the same NCF29XX cloning among hundreds of other functions; this does that one job on its own, for a fraction of the cost.
What is the difference between cloning and renewing?
Cloning copies the data from a working key onto a virgin board so you produce a working spare. Renewing returns a used or locked key to a state where it can be coded to a vehicle again.
Does it touch anything in the vehicle?
No. It is a bench tool. It reads and writes the chip on the remote's own circuit board and has no connection to the car at all.
